The Process.
Our process is tailored to each client’s & project’s needs because no renovation is exactly alike. We work closely with you & your contractor to generate floor plans, construction bids, finish selections, timelines & product coordination. By the end of the design stages, you’ll know exactly how much your project will be both product & construction & have a detailed scope of work with corresponding visual plans. Once finalized, we’ll order, track and deliver your finish products to the job site & check in frequently on the installation progress for design quality assurance.
1. Initial Consultation
We’ll meet at your home to understand the scope & budget of your project, see the space & talk about what you’re hoping to do.
2. Design Price
Shortly after our meeting, we’ll create a bid & timeline for our services.
3. Groundwork
After contracting with us, we start compiling all of the design data. Measurements, photos, scope of work, & everything else that will define your project to bring it to life for you & your contractor. Generally, we’ll have rough construction numbers from your contractor (or our recommended) during this stage as well.
4. Space Planning
All of that data is then translated into floor plans. Together we’ll decide the best possible layout for your home. If needed, we will utilize a structural engineer or your general contractor to add revisions to make sure it’s feasible.
5. Finish Selection
Now that we know it can be built, we make it look phenomenal. It’s time to pick out all of the visual aspects of the space based on your style, life & long term goals all within your budget expectations.
6. Refinement
All of the elements, final decisions, details & data come together to create your design plans & project total. You’ll have your plans, product details, construction bid & approximate timeline ready to make the dream come to life for your final approval. Your project total is now generated. Besides unforeseen elements like lead or hidden secrets in the walls, this is an all-inclusive total. It’s a better approach , in our experience, because clearer & more accurate than surprise costs snowballing during the chaos.
7. Moving Forward
Now everything is detailed to everyone’s liking, you’re ready to see the dust fly & the transformation begin. At this point, there will be payment for finish products, a construction contract to be signed with your installer & a construction deposit in order to be put on the schedule.
8. Product Ordering
The product payment has cleared & now it’s time to source everything that is needed for the project. Our team takes particular care to order, track, verify & deliver your finishes to fit your timeline’s best needs. We’ll check for accuracy & damage when received & update you as things arrive.
9. Execution
Say goodbye to your old space & prepare for new memories, it’s transformation time. Your project details are already determined, so that makes for a smoother transition. This phase is exciting & messy, plus you’ll be really tired of fast food or staying with grandma. Rest assured, it’s well worth it in the end.
9. Checking In
During the construction phases, we make it a priority to check in frequently to make sure everything is running smoothly & beautifully. We’ll keep you informed on the exciting moments & stay in contact with your contractor.
10. Love where you live
